Spicy Fat Burning Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil cold pressed
  • 1 pound ground turkey lean or ground beef, organic, pasture raised
  • 1 onion (medium) diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper any color
  • 1-2 finely chopped Serrano or JalapeƱo peppers remove the seeds for less heat!
  • 2 cans (x 400mL) diced tomatoes no salt added or alternatively use fresh tomatoes, 4 cups
  • 1 can (400mL) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (400mL) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
  • Add the onion, garlic and peppers and saute until tender. Add the tomatoes, beans and spices and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer until chili thickens. Serve and enjoy!
