Salmon Bake

Wild-caught salmon is a great source of Omega-3’s, which are super important to fight inflammation and balance hormones.

Simple Salmon Bake with Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ pounds salmon fillet Check out The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch app for consumers on how to locate sustainable seafood
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 clove fresh garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger minced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Mix olive oil with ginger and garlic to form a paste. Spread over cleaned salmon fillets.
  • Place salmon on oiled parchment paper on baking tray.
  • Bake for approximately 15 minutes, until salmon flakes easily and is no longer opaque.

Notes

Add your favorite broccoli as a side dish. In a pinch, frozen broccoli is my go-to. I place the desired amount in a bowl, add a little sea salt, olive oil, mix, and then place in a single layer on a baking tray. I place this in the oven before the salmon, then after twenty minutes, turn the broccoli, and cook until golden browned and soft when pierced with a fork (usually another twenty minutes). This is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
