Spicy Fat Burning Chili
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil cold pressed
- 1 pound ground turkey lean or ground beef, organic, pasture raised
- 1 onion (medium) diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 bell pepper any color
- 1-2 finely chopped Serrano or Jalapeño peppers remove the seeds for less heat!
- 2 cans (x 400mL) diced tomatoes no salt added or alternatively use fresh tomatoes, 4 cups
- 1 can (400mL) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (400mL) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
Instructions
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, garlic and peppers and saute until tender. Add the tomatoes, beans and spices and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until chili thickens. Serve and enjoy!
